You do not need to be a programmer
Previously, building a website or small tool meant hiring a programmer or learning to code. Now you describe what you have in mind, and AI writes the code and keeps editing until you get the result you want. This approach is called Vibe Coding.
You handle the idea, content, and testing. It handles the code. Here are examples to start with:
- A calculator to price your work or calculate your commission.
- A page for your service, clinic, or course with times and a WhatsApp booking link.
- An interactive review quiz that shows learners their mistakes.
- A portfolio website showing your work.
- A browser extension or custom app, covered in a separate guide.
Describe what you have in mind
“Build a nice website” may produce a nice website, but not one that feels like yours. Explain who will open it, what they will do step by step, what the content is, and how it should look. If you like an existing website, send a screenshot and explain what you like.
If you cannot describe it, state the idea and ask it to question you before starting.

Tools to build with
| If you need | Start with |
|---|---|
| A simple tool or game to share with a link | Gemini Canvas or Claude |
| A website published with a link without extra steps | ChatGPT Sites |
| Trying several interface designs | Google AI Studio |
| A complete website with login, a database, and a domain | Lovable |
- Gemini Canvas: Choose Canvas from the (+) icon and write your prompt. You will see the site running beside the conversation and can share it with the Share button.
- Claude: The result appears as an Artifact beside the conversation, and you can comment on a specific part and ask it to change only that part.
- ChatGPT Sites: Builds and hosts the site with a ready-to-use link.
- Lovable: Describe the project and it builds a complete website you can connect to a domain.
Use the strongest model available to you, because weaker models make more coding mistakes.
Edit one part at a time
The first version is rarely final. Open it on a phone and try it as a user, then request changes one by one: “This button does nothing,” “Make the table readable on phones,” “Remove this section.”
The more specific the problem description, the faster the fix. “It does not work” requires guessing, but “When I click Calculate with the field empty, it shows NaN” can be fixed on the first try.
